Bergslag Trail
Bergslag Trail is an itinerary in Bergslagen. It is a long-distance hiking trail that stretches over 280 kilometers through the historical mining region of central Sweden. Divided into 17 sections, the trail leads hikers through dense forests, quiet lakes, nature reserves, and charming villages, offering a deep dive into Sweden's wilderness and industrial heritage. The trail is well-marked, accessible in all seasons, and suited for both short day hikes and longer trekking adventures.

- 8 Uskavi. A scenic area by Lake Usken, known for its natural beauty and historical significance in the Bergslagen mining district. Nearby attractions include the Leja nature reserve and the Uskavi limestone quarry.
Uskavi - Hammarby

Highlights along the route include the 10,000-year-old shingle embankments, the remains of a canal in the heart of the forest, and the ruins of two buildings near Södra Brunnsjön, which may be the remains of an old croft or mining structure. Midway, hikers can rest at Södra Brunnsjöns rastplats, equipped with a wind shelter, fireplace, and toilet. The trail concludes at Hammarby, a village situated in beautiful surroundings by the Järleån nature reserve, offering accommodations and historical sites related to its ironworking past.

Hammarby - Pershyttan

Tivedstorp - Stenkällegården

After Tivedstorp, you will enter Tiveden National Park, which has a beautiful beach, as well as toilets and other facilities. Camping is only allowed on certain spots inside of the national park. Notable along the route is the legendary Junker Jägare's Stone, steeped in local folklore. The stage concludes at Stenkällegården, a welcoming campsite nestled by Lake Bocksjön, offering various accommodations and amenities for hikers.
- 28 Stigmansgården Logi & Café. Situated near Tiveden National Park, Stigmansgården offers hostel accommodations and cabins with picturesque views of Lake Bocksjön.
- 29 Stenkällegården. Located at the southern end of the Bergslagsleden trail, Stenkällegården is a family-friendly campsite offering self-catering cottages, camping pitches, and amenities such as a playground and a small shop.
