Summary
Description141152 3F-219 a TAF-9J of VT-22 (3224611619).jpg
This is an interesting demonstration of the way the aircraft are preserved. When this jet finsished its life with VT-22 it was retired to Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona for storeage on the 23 of April 1970, leaving on the 1st of October 1973, presumably to Korea. The jet appears to be in pristine condition and the MASDC park code has been removed. However, when it was in D-M it had RECLM - for reclamation - paionted on the rear fuselage. Presumably the museum stuff don't realise the significance of the lettering and have included it in the aircraft's paint scheme.
