הערות: נָצְרַת היא עיר עתיקה בצפון. העיר הערבית השנייה בגודלה בישראל אחרי העיר הבדואית רהט. נצרת היא מרכז כלכלי, פוליטי, תקשורתי ותרבותי חשוב בקרב ערביי ישראל מוסלמים ונוצרים. אזור נצרת היה מיושב כבר בתקופה הפרהיסטורית. בתקופת בית שני התקיים בנצרת יישוב קטן, ועד לתקופה הביזנטית היא הייתה עיר יהודית. עם הכיבוש הצלבני עלתה חשיבותה של העיר, והוקמו בה כנסיות. במאה ה-19, מעצמות אירופה החלו לגלות בה עניין. הוקמו כנסיות, מנזרים ומוסדות חינוך רבים. ב 1957 הוקמה בצמוד נצרת עילית (נוף הגליל) לתושבים יהודים.
