Object history
Deutsch: Der Engel erscheint erstmals im Engelberger Klostersiegel neben demjenigen des Abtes an einer Urkunde des 9. Oktober 1277, auf Abtssiegeln erst seit dem 15. Jahrhundert. Aus dem Ende des gleichen Jahrhunderts stammt das vorzüglich erhaltene, spätgotische Fähnlein der Talschaft, das grundlegend für die späteren Darstellungen wurde.
