Summary
DescriptionDowntown Seattle bus stop, 1975 (53906482458).jpg
English: Downtown Seattle bus stop, 1975. This is looking west on Pine Street from the corner of Fifth Avenue. The "Magic Carpet zone" was an area at the center of the city where, for many decades, bus rides were free. The Seattle Center Monorail, visible here, no longer extends quite this far south. Its new south terminus is just north of Pine Street. The building seen here just this side of the monorail is also gone, replaced by part of the Westlake Center shopping complex.
