Description The former McAlpine Locks Bridge in Louisville, Kentucky, built in 1926–27, included two different type of draw span: A swing span (at left in this photo) and a single-leaf bascule span (at right). The bridge was removed around 2006 and replaced by a new, fixed-span bridge.
