DescriptionLe centre dinterprétation de My Son (4399059447).jpg | Le centre d'interprétation de My Son Au fond, à droite, la maquette d'un sanctuaire à Shiva (Linga) Le site de My Son se situe à une trentaine de kilomètres de la ville de Hoi An au centre du Vietnam. Il s'agit de l'un des lieux les plus importants de l'ancien royaume Champa. Le site a été étudié par des scientifiques de l'Ecole Française d'Extrême Orient (EFEO) : Henri Parmentier (1871-1949) et ses successeurs. Bien que très endommagé, My Son, construit à partir du 7ème siècle, demeure un site historique, classé au patrimoine mondial par l'UNESCO. Ce site, sacré pour les Cham, comprend environ 70 ouvrages architecturaux de briques et de pierres au cœur d'une nature foisonnante. Ces édifices étaient tous ornés de frises sculptées et autres décors, propres à l’art Cham. Les oeuvres majeures sont présentées au musée Cham de Da Nang. L'objet de culte dans les temples principaux de My Son est le linga, symbole de Shiva - protecteur des rois Cham.
