Description
English: The Republic of Councils Monument is a giant charging sailor based on a 1919 revolutionary poster. It was finished in 1969 by the artist Kiss István and stood opposite the big Lenin Statue at Dozsa-György-Boulevard, beside the Városliget city park. Today it belongs to the communist statues collection of the Memento Park.
Français : Monument de la République des Conseils ou Monument de la République hongroise des conseils de 1919. Le Géant de bronze de 9,5 m de Istvan Kiss, créé d'après une affiche révolutionnaire de 1919, a été placé en 1969 en face de la statue Lénine dans de le Boulevard Dozsa-György, près du Parc Városliget, où avaient lieu les défilés officiels de Budapest. Aujourd'hui le monument appartient à la collection du Parc Memento.
