REGINALD EDWARD HIGGINS (1877-1933) HARROGATE. Circa 1930. 40x25 inches, 101 1/2x63 1/2 cm. John Waddington Ltd, London. Condition A-: minor tears at upper right edge; light creases in margins and image and along vertical and horizontal folds. Paper. Higgins, who "studied at the St. John's Wood Art School and the Royal Academy Schools . . . was a portrait and decorative painter who designed posters for the LNER" (Cole p. 156). The artist only designed a handful of posters for the railroad. Richmond p. 182.
