Summary
DescriptionSchengen Autumn in the Vineyards.jpg
English: Schengen is a Luxembourg village that borders with France and Germany. The village is surrounded by beautiful vineyards. The grapes are mostly Elbling or Pinot. Elbling grapes have been grown by Romans who sttled here quite close to the most important Roman town North of the Alps: Treveris (Trier or Trèves). A bridge connects Perl/Germany with Schengen over spanning the river Moselle that comes from France and that flows down along the Luxembourg/Germany border to the Rhine. The Moselle is a transboundary river.
