English: St Magnus Kirk, Egilsay The kirk was built towards the end of the 12th century and consists of a nave and small chancel. The tall round tower on the western end is a notable landmark, being visible from Rousay and the Orkney mainland. The church lost its roof sometime in the 19th century. It is dedicated to St Magnus, who was slaughtered on Egilsay in 1114.
