Description

Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The Captain John Lovitt House, 10 Parade Street, 1862. Its owner would later go on to be an MP and then Senator. The guidebook said the style was Georgian Revival, but I'm seeing Queen Anne here too. Specifically, that huge central turret (a later addition) with the third-floor sunroom and the candle-snuffer roof. Jesus H. Christ, what a beauty.

Yarmouth, Nouvelle-Écosse. La Maison du Capitaine-John-Lovitt, 10, rue Parade, 1862. Son propriétaire irait plus tard à être Député et puis Sénateur. Le guide a dit que le style était néo-géorgien, mais j'y vois le Queen-Anne aussi. Plus précisément, dans cette énorme tourelle centrale (un ajout ultérieur) avec le solarium au deuxième étage et la toiture en poivrière. Mon Dieu, mais quelle beauté.

El guía dijo que el estilo era neogeorgiano, pero yo veo la Reina Ana aquí también. Más precisamente, en la enorme torreta central (una adición posterior) con el solárium en el segundopiso y el tejado apagavelas. Dios mío, qué belleza.
