Summary

Description Built in 1901-1902, this Renaissance Revival-style structure was designed by Charles Frost and Alfred Granger as part of the Great Northern Railway Depot, which was built to serve railroad passengers in Spokane, Washington. The depot stood until 1972, when it was demolished to make way for Expo ’74, leaving only the tower standing. The building features a buff brick exterior with stone trim, clock faces at the top of the tower, an open belfry with corinthian columns, a pyramidal red terra cotta tile roof, and a rough-hewn stone base.
