Lagos City/Lekki

Lekki is a city in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria. This article describes the parts of Lekki that are in the Ibeju-Lekki local government area. The Eti-Osa local government area is covered by a separate article.

Lekki is a multi-lingual area of Lagos. Dominated mostly by rich people, it is one of the most expensive towns in Lagos State.

Lekki has a tropical climate marked by consistently warm to hot temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. The weather follows a clear pattern of rainy and dry seasons, with intense, humid rainfall mainly occurring from June to September, while relatively drier conditions are common around January and February. Average temperatures typically range between 79–82°F. As a low-lying coastal peninsula, Lekki is vulnerable to flooding during periods of heavy rain, a challenge that has been worsened by the effects of climate change.

You can get a bus to Lekki from CMS or Ajah in Lagos State.

You can take a car there too. Uber and Bolt can also be used to get to Lekki.

This option is not really suitable in this area. You would hardly see buses in this area.

This area is accessible by car. You can also use rented cars or Uber and Bolt to ply this area.

• Ikegun Village Junction Market, Coastal Road, Ikegun Community (1 km outside the main resort gatehouses.). Daylight hours. A traditional, rustic roadside market managed by local community residents. This is an excellent, highly affordable spot to purchase raw coconuts, fresh tropical fruits, local snacks, and basic travel toiletries at local non-resort prices. Cash is preferred here. Budget.

All the network connection has very good coverage in Lekki for 2G/3G/4G Networks. You need not bother too much about network coverage as they are all covered. MTN, 9Mobile, Airtel (Zain), and GLO are all available service providers. So if you are planning a visit to Lekki, you might not have to be so much concerned about the service provider to choose from as they all are reasonably reliable.
