Le jardin des tortues

The Jardin des Tortues is an animal park and botanical garden located in Les Avirons, on the western side of Réunion Island.

Opened to the public in 2019, the park is dedicated to the discovery and observation of various species of land, freshwater and semi-aquatic turtles. Set in a tropical garden, it is home to several hundred turtles, including Seychelles giant tortoises, Madagascar radiated tortoises and African spurred tortoises.

The park offers an educational trail designed to introduce visitors to these animals and raise awareness of their protection and conservation.

Visitors can also learn more about the different species, their habitats and their way of life through educational activities and encounters with the park's animal keepers.
