Rahačoŭ (Rahachow, Rogachov, Rohaczow) is a town in Gomel Oblast, Belarus. People visit to experience the quiet Belarusian provincial life, it has an interesting local history, Soviet-era nostalgia, and scenic riverside landscapes.

[edit | edit source]- 1 Old Christian Cemetery. Lots of trees and a row of old funeral chapels.
- 2 Old Jewish Cemetery. A picturesque old cemetery reminding of the active Jewish community of the past centuries. Note that you will not find here the grave of the most famous son of this community, talmudic scholar Joseph Rosen (Rogatchover Gaon): he was born and raised in the town, but he is buried in Daugavpils, now Latvia, where he served as a Rabbi.
