The trail on Nämdö covers 13.1 km and can begin at any of the four ferry stops: 59.18462318.7004031 Solvik ferry stop, 59.18232818.6931472 Sand ferry stop, 59.19746818.7398313 Östanvik ferry stop, or 59.20875618.7400544 Nämdöböte ferry stop, though starting at Solvik and hiking clockwise is recommended.

The route winds through a varied landscape of forest paths, open pastures with grazing animals, and rocky shoreline. In Sand, hikers pass the 59.18232818.6931471 Nämdö Archipelago Museum, library, and heritage centre, with a shelter and fire pit by the old school. A forest path leads to a peaceful lake with a good swimming spot. The viewpoint at Nämdöböte is a highlight of the route. The island's limestone soil nurtures 17 species of wild orchid, and historical remains from the 18th century are visible near Kyrknäset. The organic farm at 59.19746818.7398311 Östanvik Gård has a farm shop worth a visit.
