At 34 km, Ornö is the longest stage on the SAT and is designed as two separate day hikes, both starting at 1 Hasselmara ferry stop, where the Waxholm boat and car ferry from Dalarö arrive. The northern stage runs up to Skinnardal, then loops back through 2 Ornöboda kyrka ferry stop and Söderviken to finish at 3 Ornö kyrka ferry stop, while the southern stage heads via a hilltop viewpoint and Bodal down to 4 Lättinge ferry stop, continuing north through Kråkmora, Mörby Gård and Lervassa Träsk back to Ornö Church. Hikers doing the full loop clockwise should note this runs against the directional markers between the church and Hässelmara. A public bus links Lättinge, Hässelmara, and Skinnardal along the central road, making it easy to split the route across two days. Accommodation is available at 1 Ornö Skärgårdshotell near Lättinge and at 2 Sundby B&B. At Kyrkviken by the church there is a shop, restaurant, and bakery. The island has twelve inland lakes, two nature reserves, abundant birdlife, and a landscape shaped by Bronze Age settlers and the Russian raids of 1719.
