The easy Rånö stage begins at 58.91929918.1780291 Rånö ferry stop, a short walk from all services: a summer grocery store, 58.91977618.1763661 Rånö Brygga restaurant, and bike and kayak rental. The route heads north through open forest on gravel road, passing a waterside campground and 58.93605118.1987451 Rånö Gård, before a short out-and-back detour to the island's northern tip, where a fire pit makes a fine rest stop. A worthwhile westward detour from the quay leads to 58.91554418.1641411 Knicksand, a holiday village with rocky coves and a sandy beach facing Mysingen — especially good for sunsets. The island is part of the Ålö-Rånö nature reserve and abundant in mushrooms come autumn.
