Yxlan, a long island in the Stockholm Archipelago, offers a scenic and peaceful walking experience. The island is known for its coastal views, historic villages, and lush forests. The walk combines narrow forest trails with stretches of gravel roads, offering a varied and scenic route. At the northern end of the island, 1 Northern Köpmanholmen is a small open area that may be suitable for camping, near the 1 Köpmanholm's local shop, a small grocery shop at the ferry stop. The route passes 1 Sea Träsket and the 1 Hamnviken bathing area, with many pleasant resting spots along the way. The trail ends at 2 Yxlan's lighthouse, which also offers a possible camping spot. Near the end of the route, a stone 3 labyrinth on Kasberget sits atop Vårdkaseberget — a name referencing the "vårdkase", a beacon fire historically used in an optical signalling system of wooden spires placed on heights within sight of one another.
