I have continuous struggle with this term Kazakh desert. Never heard it, never read it. There is a South of Kazakhstan including Almaty and new Jetysu regions. Culturewise, landscapewise, achitecturewise and climatewise Zhambyl region blends with Almaty and Jetysu region seamlessly. There are also East and North Kazakhstan with lots of russian speaking population. Central Kazakhstan include Karaganda ind Jeskazgan regions. West is 4 west regions, and north is north.
