This is a documentation subpage for Template:NYCS. It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template displays an inline image of a New York City Subway icon. It should only be used in listings and not in prose.

(Yes, there are exceptions like New York City#Route overview which uses a larger set of images in order to explain what the icons are, but Wikivoyage style is that all other prose should use text.)

The template only takes one parameter, which is the number or letter of the icon. To display multiple icons, like  2  3 , use the template separately for each icon with no spaces in between, like {{NYCS|2}}{{NYCS|3}}.
