The German car-sharing website Mitfahrgelegenheit.de has around four million registered users. Mitfahrzentrale reports a smaller userbase. Certainly between adjacent bigger cities in Germany, Austria and (German-speaking) Switzerland there are many available rides, for prices often much lower then that trajectory by public transport. The websites extend to serve the whole of Europe, but their most active user base is currently in Germany.

This template creates a section in pages in Germany about car-sharing through the Mifahrgelegenheit.de and Mitfahrzentrale-websites. For car sharing in Austria use Template:MFG-at. Switzerland: Template:MFG-ch

Don't forget to test the links, to verify they are actually correct for both car-sharing sites.

In case that the Mitfahrgelegenheit or Mitfahrzentrale use a (slightly) different spelling of a destination's name, you can feed them into the template as follows:
