DescriçãoCoat of Arms of Francisco Manuel de Medrano y Acebes Barnuevo.png
English: Coat of Arms of Francisco Manuel de Medrano y Acebes Barnuevo, Knight of Santiago. The coat of arms attributed to Francisco Manuel de Medrano was designed in Madrid by a "tallador de cámara" (royal engraver) named Francisco Garrier, likely a French artisan working at the court of Philip V and influenced by contemporary French artistic styles. The escutcheon is oval in form and quartered in cross. The first quarter features a flory cross with a surrounding border inscribed “AVE MARIA.” The second quarter is divided vertically: on one side appears a crowned eagle, and on the other, a displayed crowned eagle accompanied beneath by the letter A. The third quarter contains a diagonal bend flanked by six unclear elements. The fourth quarter is divided per cross: the upper left shows a checkered field, the upper right presents three fleurs-de-lis beneath a crown, and the lower section (in point) depicts a rampant lion pierced through the mouth by a sword. The entire shield is topped by a marquis’s coronet, encircled by the cross of Santiago, and flanked by six military standards (three on each side), with two cannons and a drum at the lower right and a cannon and sword at the lower left. Of Medrano.
