Alipurduar

Alipurduar (আলিপুরদুয়ার Ālipurduẏār) is a major town on the east bank of Kaljani River in the eastern Dooars of West Bengal. It acts as a stopover to the surrounding tourist attractions.

Alipurduar does not have an airport. The nearest airports include Cooch Behar (COH ^IATA) and Rupsi (RUP ^IATA). Another option is Bagdogra Airport (IXB ^IATA) in Siliguri, which handles daily flights from all major cities in India and twice weekly international flights to and from Paro and Bangkok.

Buses run by North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) and Assam State Transport Corporation (ASTC) are available in Alipurduar.

Alipurduar itself does not have tourist attractions. However, the town is surrounded by several tourist attractions, including Buxa Tiger Reserve, Chilapata Forest, Hasimara and Jaldapara National Park.
