Aqqala is a city of 35,000 people (2016) in northern Iran, 20 km north of the larger city of Gorgan.

  • Mubarakabad Fort (former name of Aq Qala) is an old castle that is now ruined. Only the southern walls and a little from the north wall to its south are left.
