Barreiro is a city and municipality on Portugal's Setúbal Peninsula. The city lies on the River Tagus across from Lisbon.

[edit | edit source]Barreiro is served by the A33 motorway (CRIPS - Circular Regional Interior da Península de Setúbal). The A2 motorway (Autoestrada do Sul) skirts the southern edge of the municipality.
