Barrydale is a small town on Route 62 in the Little Karoo. Barrydale is a centre of fruit growing on the edge of the Little Karoo.

It was founded in 1880. It is home to about 4,000 people (2011)
Almost every type of fruit is cultivated here, with the harvest season beginning in December with apricots and continuing into April.

[edit | edit source]- Barrydale lies between Montagu and Oudtshoorn at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains.
- From the south, you can reach Barrydale from the N2 via the Tradouws Pass on the R324.
