Batagay

Batagay (Russian: Батага́й; Yakut: Баатаҕай, Baatağay) is an urban locality in Yakutia on the Yana River. In 2023, its population was 3,759.

By car

The Yana highway runs through the village; through traffic is only possible in winter (winter road), with a paved section extending to Ese-Khaya. The road connects the village with Verkhoyansk, which is connected by a winter road to Yakutsk, 1000 km away.
