Begues

Begues is a small town near Barcelona. It has a population of 7,000 people (2018). It’s on the mountain although the beach is just 8 km away in Gavà. It’s a quiet and beautiful town. It has a town centre, where there are almost all the shops, bars and restaurants. In the town centre there is a church. Behind that there is Iglesia’s Avenue, where the people like walking and talking.

The weather is very different from Gavà, because we are at an altitude of 350 m. The temperature in the winter can be about –5 °C, while in Gava the temperature is always 4 or 5 degrees higher. The summer is very pleasant, it’s sunny but not usually too hot.

Begues is an interesting village for the mountains that belong to Parc del Garraf, where most people come to hike.
