Understand

[edit | edit source]

Bobruisk is the seventh largest city in Belarus. Despite the city's rather long history, the vast majority of buildings, even in the centre, are relatively new. Among the sites of historical interest are the remains of a XIX century fortress, which was of considerable local importance during the Napoleonic wars, and the buildings of several XIX century synagogues.
