Borșa

Borşa is a town in Maramureș.

A small mountain town, located near the eastern end of Maramureş, Borşa is a good base for hiking trips into the Rodna and Maramureşului massifs. It also has several ski runs.

Relatively frequent buses reach Borşa from Sighetu Marmaţiei (via Vişeu). Much less frequent ones link it with Vatra Dornei. There's also one daily bus from Iaşi via Gura Humorului.

Accommodations are mostly available in the very numerous guesthouses ("pensiune"), but several hotels exist as well.
