
Bumba is a town of 108,000 people (2009) in Congo Basin region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on the right bank of the Congo River and close to the confluence of the Itimbiri.

Bumba served by the national road RN6 137 km east of the provincial capital Lisala. The Congo links it to Lisala in the west, and Basoko in the east. It is linked by road to Aketi in the east, and Yakoma in the north. The Molua river marks the western limit of the city and separates the Loeka sector from the Molua sector. Notice that roads generally are in a terrible state. Mostly the water transport using Congo River serves this city as main transportation mean.
