Caminhos do Imigrante



Caminhos do Imigrante (Immigrant Pathways) are tourist routes in Espírito Santo, in Southeastern Brazil. They were established to boost tourism in several cities of historical importance that were built mostly Italian, German and Pomeranian immigrants.

Italian, German and Pomeranian immigrants began to arrive in the region in the mid-nineteenth century, leaving their marks on historical buildings and culture in general.

Get in[edit]

Vitória has a direct air and bus connection with several capitals in the country. Once in the city, look for the BR-262 exit, close to Cariacica Circle.

Get around[edit]

The best way to get around the Paths is by car. Being in Vitória, it is very easy to rent one at the airport.

Route[edit]

The route starts in the city of Cariacica and, along the BR-262 and BR-101/Norte, passes through Santa Leopoldina, Santa Maria de Jetibá, São Roque do Canaã, Itaguaçu, Itarana, Santa Teresa and Fundão. Along the way, travelers enjoy natural beauty, such as mountains, waterfalls and beaches, cities with European houses and typical foods.
