Chaguaramas

Chaguaramas is a port and peninsular in the northwestern Trinidad.

Chaguaramas is connected to Port of Spain via the Western Main Road only, and the road suffers of dense traffic. There used to be a ferry service between Chaguaramas and Venezuela but it closed due to the uncertain economic situation in Venezuela.

• Macqueripe bay — Popular beach surrounded by forested hills and one of the best-known recreational areas in Chaguaramas.
• Chaguaramas national park — Forested recreational area with hiking trails, viewpoints and opportunities to experience Trinidad's natural environment.
• Five islands — Group of small islands offshore from Chaguaramas, visible from the mainland and accessible by boat.

Go sailing, diving or motorboating or just soak up the atmosphere.
