Churulia (চুরুলিয়া Curuliẏā) is a village in the Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal, India. It is the birthplace of Kazi Nazrul Islam (1899-1976), a Bengali poet and composer known for both revolutionary and romantic works. A fair with cultural programmes is organised to celebrate the poet's birthday in May.
