[edit | edit source]Amtrak's California Zephyr stops at 1 Colfax station once per day each direction, on its way between Chicago and the Bay Area, with stops in between including Sacramento, Truckee, Reno, and Denver. The train is scheduled to stop in Colfax at 12:50pm going west and 11:49am going east, but delays are common.
Amtrak also provides a connecting bus (Route 20) to reach Colfax from the Gold Runner train (Stockton, Merced, Fresno, Bakersfield, etc.).
By bus
