Understand

The Costa Verde ("Green Coast") is the area surrounding the Ilha Grande Bay and the Central Channel, that connects it to the Sepetiba Bay in the west, with Ilha Grande occupying a position between them. It was an area of great importance in the colonial history of Brazil, and today many of the towns have a well preserved historic downtown. That, in combination with beautiful mountains and beaches, plus 365 islands in the twin bays, attracts many tourists, both weekender locals from Rio de Janeiro and travellers from across Brazil and around the world.

This region travel guide to Costa Verde is an outline and may need more content. It has a template, but there is not enough information present. If there are Cities and Other destinations listed, they may not all be at usable status or there may not be a valid regional structure and a "Get in" section describing all of the typical ways to get here.
