Devprayag (देवप्रयाग Devprayāg) is a picturesque town in the lower Himalayas in Garhwal, Uttarakhand. It is famous as the place where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet and take the name Ganga (Ganges). Around two hours from Rishikesh, Devprayag can be visited as a day trip, or used as a stopping off point to somewhere higher up in the Himalayan hills.
