The dive site The Office is an offshore rocky and coral reef near Inhambane in the Inhambane municipio of Mozambique.

Depth

Maximum depth is about 30m. Average depth is likely to be about 23m.


Topography

The site is on a rock shelf that rises from the sea floor 70m below. The northern part is the top of a 3 m-high, S-shaped wall with ledges and overhangs that provide habitat for resident honeycomb morays, turtles and potato bass. Pinnacles of rock jut out from the wall

At the bottom of the “S”, three huge rocks rise from the sand, and provide divers with narrow gullies and crevices to swim through.

This is a boat access dive. The site is about 10 km from Barra Lodge




Marine life

Office has a manta cleaning station, so encounters with mantas are common.

Fish seen at this site include: goldies, butterflyfish and moorish idols, devil firefish, whitetip and blacktip reef sharks, bowmouth guitarfish, leopard sharks, old woman angelfish.
