Falta

Falta (ফলতা Phaltā) is a riverside town in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. It was originally a Dutch settlement, then a British retreat when Nawab Siraj-ud-Daulah captured Calcutta (Kolkata). Now, Falta is one of the many riverside picnic spots in South 24 Parganas.
