Mt Fuji, cherry blossoms and the Chūrei-tō pagoda at Arakurayama Sengen Park. This shot is possible only on a clear day in sakura season, when the park is inundated by thousands of others competing for it.

Fujiyoshida (富士吉田) is a small city on the foot hills of Mt. Fuji. and Enter of Fuji Five Lakes.

Fuji Yoshida is at the end of the Fujikyuko Line that branches of the JR network in Ōtsuki. There are a few direct trains from central Tokyo, but usually a change in Ōtsuki is required.

By bus

Regular buses go from Shinjuku Bus Station to Fujisan Station. From Nagoya, buses depart for Fujisan, Fuji Q Highland and Fuji-Yoshida Stations. There are also buses from Kofu and Gotemba.
