Georgetown is a town of 250 (2021) in the Gulf Savannah region of Far North Queensland along the Gulf Developmental Road.

Georgetown is on the Gulf Developmental Road between Cairns and Normanton, around 140 km (87 mi) west of Undara Volcanic National Park, 93 km (58 mi) from Mount Surprise and 150 km (93 mi) east of Croydon.

It is also 40 km (25 mi) north of Forsayth.
