Gołuchów’s history stretches back to the medieval period, but it rose to prominence in the 19th century under the ownership of Izabela Czartoryska. A passionate collector and patron of the arts, she transformed the local castle into a museum and filled it with valuable artworks, antiques, and historical objects, many of which remain today.

The village is especially renowned for its beautifully preserved estate, combining aristocratic architecture with one of the finest English-style landscape parks in Poland.
