Grand Lake



Grand Lake is a municipality in the Saint John River Valley region of New Brunswick. It was formed in 2023 via the amalgamation of the former villages of Minto and Chipman as well as the concurrent annexation of adjacent unincorporated areas.

Grand Lake straddles the boundary of Sunbury County and Queens County along the north shore of Grand Lake, the largest lake in New Brunswick. It was formed through the 2023 New Brunswick local governance reforms by amalgamating the villages of Chipman and Minto, and certain previously unincorporated areas

Grand Lake is located east of Fredericton along Route 10. Route 2, the Trans-Canada Highway passes along the south shore of lake and bypasses the municipality.
