Hvaler

Hvaler is a municipality in the county of Østfold, Norway. Consisting of a group of island and a population of 3,694. There are about 830 islands in total, most are uninhabited. The four main islands are Vesterøy, Spjærøy, Asmaløy and Kirkøy.

There are no train tracks in Hvaler, but the closest city with a train station is the neighbour Fredrikstad. You can take the train from Oslo to Fredrikstad, and then the bus to Hvaler.

The best ways to get around is using a car or public transport like a bus. Go by boat if you want to visit the other islands. On the islands themselves, walking is nice.
