Jovellar is a landlocked municipality in the southwest quadrant of Albay in the Philippines and borders Donsol in the province of Sorsogon.

Once called Quipia after the river that flows down to Donsol, the town has been named after the Spanish Governor-General Joaquin Jovellar y Soler.

[edit | edit source]The nearest airport is in Daraga (DRP IATA).
By bus
[edit | edit source]There are buses from Manila to Jovellar, stopping also at other towns and cities along the way. To get to the town is through Guinobatan. There are a lot of jeepneys that ply that route.
Get around
[edit | edit source]Around the town center there are tricycles available heading to the outlying barangays.
