  • Temkessi Village (sometime written as 'Tamkessi' or other variations): One of the popular villages in Timor. Some villagers have traded life in the village for modern housing, but there are still a few families there. It is a bit of an inconvenience to reach the village. Most visitors hire a car and a guide, although some take a long-distance bemo and ojek. Ask your hotel for details. Remember to bring betel nuts and donations.
