Khadikolvan

Khadikolvan is a historic and culturally significant village in the Sangameshwar Taluka of Ratnagiri district, South Konkan, Maharashtra, India. The village is known for its traditional temples, hot springs, and proximity to the famous Marleshwar Temple.

The village is in the foothills of the Western Ghats, surrounded by lush green hills and dense forests. It is locally referred to as "Mukkam Khadikolvan" as it served as a resting place for travellers historically. The village has a strong cultural identity with festivals like Shimga and Gaur Ganpati.

The nearest railway station is at Sangameshwar on the Konkan Railway line. From Sangameshwar, take an MSRTC bus to Devrukh and from there, buses or private vehicles to Sakharpa. Khadikolvan is a 45-minute ride from Sakharpa.

The village is small and best explored on foot. Narrow internal paths lead to various temples, riverbanks, and springs.
