[edit | edit source]Inuinnaqtun (Latin alphabets) are more commonly used in Kitikmeot Region rather than the Inuktitut syllabics writing system that is used in the rest of Nunavut.
Get in
[edit | edit source]During summer season, tourist cruise ships often stop at Cambridge Bay, and to lesser extent stopping at Kugluktuk and Gjoa Haven. Otherwise, you have to fly in to any of the Kitikmeot communities via Yellowknife.
Get around
[edit | edit source]There are no roads connecting between the communities. You will need to take snowmobile or ATV to go to attractions outside of the hamlet.

[edit | edit source]Gjoa Haven and Kugaaruk are dry communities. Kugluktuk places purchase limits on alcohol. There is no alcohol restriction in Cambridge Bay and Taloyoak.
